Innovation Bay is bringing together Renewable Energy startups and investors

Is your renewable energy startup looking for private investment to supercharge its growth? Or are you an investor looking for the best opportunities in the sector?

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) in partnership with Innovation Bay is holding a Renewable Energy Founder Dinner in Sydney on October 29, 2019. The Renewable Energy Founder Dinner will shine a spotlight on Australia’s rapidly-growing renewable energy industry, highlight local insights and global trends, and showcase some of the country’s best emerging startups in the sector.

Innovation Bay runs a community of investors and entrepreneurs with over 3000 members, which has helped start-ups raise over $40 million in funding to date. Innovation Bay is sponsored by Macquarie, Amazon Web Services, KPMG High Growth Ventures and the Commonwealth Bank and ARENA is excited to partner with them on the very first renewable energy themed founder dinner.

ARENA CEO Darren Miller recently spoke with Innovation Bay’s Ian Gardiner about his experience as an entrepreneur, journey into renewable energy, the role for start-ups in a world powered by renewables and the upcoming Renewable Energy Founder Dinner.

Founders will have until September 22 to apply, and those selected will have five minutes to pitch, followed by time for questions and answers. The evening aims to match talented founders with the right investors, customers, and business leaders who can help supercharge their growth through funding, connections, and advice.

Whether via the Advancing Renewables Program, the R&D Commercialisation Pilot, or A-Lab innovation lab, ARENA is always looking for ways to bring the most innovative renewable energy technologies to market. This event will provide a unique forum for start-ups to pitch for funding from the leaders in the Australian investment community.
