The central receiver CPV (CSPV) pilot project demonstrates the world’s first commercial heliostat central receiver system that uses photovoltaic energy conversion. Stage 1 of the project, supported by the Victorian Government, was the first step where key components of the system were developed and proven. Stage 2 of the project, supported by ARENA, saw RayGen construct and commission a 200kW commercial scale pilot plant using the CSPV technology. The grid-connected power station is now operational and supplies a local agriculture business.
