This report discuss the technical performance and market operations of the Wallgrove grid-forming battery in the period between July 2023 and December 2023.

The reponse of the battery during contingency events shows that the battery is responding to the RoCoF as intended when in VMM, resulting in faster response than grid following. However, differences with respect to the inertial reposnse of synchronous machines were observed, which can be due to the battery controller attempting to respond to both RoCoF and absolute frequency simultaneously; or because the battery is not able to provide a linear active power response to the RoCoF.
Regarding commercial operations, an increasing participation in contingency markets has been observed, with significant revenue (22%) coming from the new 1s FCAS markets.
