ARENA’s CEO Ivor Frischknecht provided the national keynote address to the recent All-Energy Australia clean energy conference.
While discussing the success of rooftop photovoltaic systems in Australia, Ivor canvassed the increasing self-sufficiency of households in generating their own energy and the impact this has on the broader electricity distribution network.
Ivor also released the findings of an ACIL Allen study into the use of rooftop PV in Australia and highlighted ARENA initiatives that are enabling renewable energy and its effective integration into the grid, as well as support for communities not connected to national electricity grids.
