Summary

The Renewable Energy Excellence Industry Cluster is being led by Regional Development Australia ACT (RDA ACT) to establish a Regional Renewable Energy Industry Cluster in the south east NSW-ACT region as part of the South East Region of Renewable Energy Excellence (SERREE) initiative.

Project innovation

The new industry cluster will encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across the south east region. The expanding network will establish a best practice framework to encourage other regions to adopt a similar approach to excellence in renewables.

This Renewable Energy Excellence Industry Cluster project will build on the achievements of the SERREE initiative over the past three years. More than 450 network members have participated in the collaboration to date, ranging from government and research institutions through to international project development organisations. The initiative complements ARENA’s role in driving knowledge sharing to accelerate the proliferation of renewable energy in Australia.

The aim of the project is to expand renewable energy businesses across the region and to provide new opportunities for a range of businesses and industry sectors enabling them to be involved in the development of renewable energy projects.
