Early last year we asked for your input in redesigning our website by engaging in a survey and providing user experience feedback.

Some of you may remember the old ARENA website, which posed a number of challenges for visitors. Content was deep linked in a complex information architecture making it difficult to find what you’re looking for. The search results weren’t great and accessibility was of concern. Finally, the funding application process was difficult to understand.

Following an extensive internal and external consultation process, more than 2500 hours of work, and many thousands of cups of coffee – the new ARENA website and blog was launched.

Our new website and blog feature an enhanced user experience so that you can find information easier.

When you visit ARENA’s website now, you’ll see an improved information architecture, better content relationships between ARENA activities, improvements to the search features allowing you to search locally and globally, and a new-look ARENAWIRE blog!

Thanks to your help, we are pleased to inform you that we have been shortlisted in to the top three nominations for a GOV design award. We need your help again in voting for us to ensure that our new website is properly recognised in becoming the best website in its category.
