A-Lab incubates the next big idea

Calling all energy innovators!

Are you working on a project to drive systemic change in the renewable energy industry? Does your project need input from a particular part of the industry to help get it off the ground?

If so, we want to hear from you.

Applications have opened for A-Lab Incubate 2019, a three-day innovation lab where up to ten teams will be invited to develop high-impact projects that will progress Australia’s transition to renewable energy.

We are seeking diverse teams with people from multiple organisations including combinations of innovators, disruptors, technology providers, project developers, energy retailers, network businesses, end-users/customers, regulators, rule makers.

Supported by A-Lab facilitators, ARENA staff and industry experts, teams will work to enhance the quality of their ideas, collaborate across industry, and accelerate the process of taking project concepts through to funding and delivery.

At the end of the three days, teams will have the opportunity to pitch to the ‘Dolphin Tank’, an expert panel of the industry’s best and brightest.

We are seeking teams working on ideas that align with one of the following interest areas:

  • Delivering technology and business model solutions to enable higher shares of renewables in the electricity grid
  • Supporting the growth of Australia’s renewable hydrogen industry
  • Helping industry transition to renewables.

If you think you have the right ideas, applications are open until 5:00 pm, 2 August 2019. Incubate 2019 will be held in Sydney on 11-13 September.
