This Lessons Learnt Report provides interesting early insights into the Enel X Commercial Refrigeration Flexible Demand Project.
Report extract
The project seeks to demonstrate and maximise the flexible demand potential of commercial refrigeration at retail stores and refrigerated warehouses. This report documents some learnings from the early stages of the project which has so far focussed on developing solutions to professionally manage customer risks and to facilitate accelerated deployment.
The lessons are categorised from the two separate work streams:
- Retail Refrigeration, with lessons including the impact of lower cost metering solutions, and the use of demand capacity (kW) as a viability indicator.
- Refrigerated Warehouses, with lessons including the effectiveness of flexible retail models to incentivise daily load shifting and energy optimisation projects.
