The Big Battery (Western Downs) Deployment Project has benefitted significantly from other Neoen projects such as Hornsdale Power Reserve expansion (HPRx) and Victorian Big Battery (VBB).
The report highlights the project’s harmonic emissions profile changes when operating in grid-forming mode compared to grid-following mode. As a result, Neoen suggests future projects should assume the cost of adding harmonic filters in the budget and design of grid-forming projects.
