ARENA hosted two virtual information sessions on 16 and 18 June 2021 which gathered input from stakeholders on the objectives and design of the Program and provided an opportunity to ask questions.

The Program will provide grant funding support for pilot demonstrations of microgrids located in regional and remote areas.
The aim of the Program is to resolve remaining barriers to investment and full deployment of microgrid solutions.
The Program will be administered over six years from 2020-21 to 2025-26. Up to $50 million to be available from [September 2021].
