This submission provides background information on projects funded by ARENA as relevant to the AEMC Reliability Frameworks Review. It outlines ARENA’s relevant experience with renewable energy generation, storage technologies, and their interaction(s) with the electricity system – both the secure and reliable operation of the grid, as well as the implications for market operations. The latter part of this submission comments on issues for market design.
