ARENA CEO Ivor Frischknecht joined the Minister for Industry the Hon Ian Macfarlane to unveil Carnegie Wave Energy’s newly constructed CETO units at the Australian Marine Complex in Henderson, WA.
Once installed the seabed units will harness the power of waves to drive hydroelectric turbines and an onshore desalination plant.
ARENA is providing $13.1 million in funding to the Perth Wave Energy project through the Emerging Renewables Program.
