How to Apply for Funding
Background
ARENA has allocated $50 million to Round 1B: Solar PV Manufacturing Studies: feasibility studies and FEED. Round 1B was launched in August 2024 and will remain open to Full Applications until 12 November 2026.
How it works
Round 1B is a one-stage Full Application process and will not be a ranked process as defined in section 2.25-2.26 of the Solar SunShot Program Guidelines. Proposals will be assessed against merit criteria on an individual basis, and applications will be assessed on a regular basis as driven by pipeline volume. You may submit an application at any time while the round is open.

Please ensure you have contacted an ARENA representative by completing this form for guidance on your Full Application.
- Create an account on the ARENANet Portal.
- Select ‘[SunShot Round 1B] – Full Application’ to commence an application.
- Submit your application by 12 November 2026.
You will need to submit the following documents with your application:
- Solar Sunshot – Project Budget and Sources and Uses Template (Round 1B) (XLXS 27KB)
- Solar Sunshot – Knowledge Sharing Plan Template (Round 1B) (DOCX 53KB)
- Solar Sunshot – Risk Management Plan Template (DOCX 90KB)
- ARENA Funding Agreement Compliance Table (DOCX 201KB)
- Conflict of Interest Declaration Template (DOCX 232KB)
Note: It is a requirement of submission that you review the Funding Agreement Compliance Table. If you do not agree with clauses or details, record them in the Compliance Table template. If you agree, submit a blank document with your application.
