This document is a public report issued as part of the Knowledge Sharing commitments of Phase 3 of the Energy Storage for Commercial Renewables, South Australia (ESCRISA Project), in accordance with the Funding Agreement between ElectraNet and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), which has contributed funding support through its Advancing Renewables Programme.
ESCRI-SA involves the installation of a 30 MW, 8 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Dalrymple on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia. Phase 1 of the Project completed in 2015 involved preliminary business case work, Phase 2 was the actual procurement, installation, and commissioning and Stage 3 is the operation of the asset.
